The Biloxi Visitors Center, opened in 2010, is a 23,000 square foot facility that provides visitors information on hotels, restaurants, attractions, and events. The center is not only a place to obtain information on the area, but is an attraction in itself. The west parlor is a museum offering historical displays about Biloxi’s history and heritage from the early French explorers to present day. Audio wands provide visitors with vivid descriptions of the various displays. A 70-person theater located on the second floor features a nine minute day-in-the-life-of-Biloxi film titled “We are Biloxi.” A 50-minute documentary titled “Katrina” is shown twice daily and chronicles heroic actions of Biloxi’s citizens and first responders during the devastating storm.
