The Kenedy Ranch Museum
The Story of South Texas and One of Texas' Great Ranching Empires
The 1927 Spanish Revival Pasture Company building is jam packed with story. The museum has three rooms, each dominated by roughly 10-by-30 foot murals depicting scenes of ranching, revolution and daily life. Each room presents a different theme, the birth of South Texas, the economic and social development of the region, and the faith and devotion of three generations of Kenedy women. The murals, life sized figures, and a hand held audio system combine to celebrate a small town in Texas with a rich heritage in a museum unlike any other in South Texas.
